How to Join

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Liberal Democrats Overseas (LDO)! We’re delighted to welcome members from all over the world who share our liberal values and want to help shape the party’s future.

Below are the key details about joining and paying for membership from outside the UK. If you have any need for clarification, please email membership@libdemsoverseas.com.


💳 Payment Options

We accept several payment methods for your convenience. 
🇺🇸 PLEASE NOTE: U.S CARD PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED

1. Debit or Credit Card (Recommended)
You can join or renew your membership online using most major cards.

  • We accept cards with a 16-digit card number, expiry date, and 3-digit security code (CVV).
  • American Express (Amex) is not accepted.
  • The postal code field is limited to 10 characters.

2. Direct Debit (UK Accounts Only)
Direct Debit is the cheapest and most efficient method for the party to process.
If you have a UK bank account, we encourage you to choose this option when joining or renewing.

3. Cash or Cheque
We also accept payments by cash or cheque.
If you are outside the UK, you can send your payment by post to:

4. International Bank Transfers
If you prefer to pay directly from an overseas bank account (for example, using IBAN or SWIFT), please contact our Finance Team before making the transfer to ensure the correct details are used.
