George Cunningham (Chair of Lib Dems Overseas), Strategic Adviser on Asia-Pacific Affairs at the European External Action Service in Brussels and EU Alternate Senior Official for the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). He was previously Deputy EU Ambassador to Afghanistan (2016-18), Deputy Head of Division on China (2012-2016), also having served in EU diplomatic postings in Cyprus, New Zealand and at the UN in New York.
David O'Sullivan, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to the United States (2014-2019), Chief Operating Officer of the European External Action Service (2010-2014); European Commission Director General for Trade (2005-2010); Secretary General of the European Commission (2000-2005); and Chief of Staff to Commission President Romano Prodi (1999-2000). He started his career with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Dr Leslie Vinjamuri, Director of the US and the Americas programme and Dean of the Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs at Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs. Reader (Associate Professor) in International Relations at SOAS University of London. At Chatham House, she leads the Lloyd George Working Group on World Order (with Charles A. Kupchan), the Chatham House US 2020 Election Series, and the US-China and Transatlantic Relations Project.
Hans Van Baalen, President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (ALDE), President of Honour Liberal International, Member of the Board of Trustees of the FDP Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. He is a Dutch politician from the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and was MP in the Netherlands from 1990-2009, a Member of the European Parliament and Leader of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy there 2009-2019 and President of Liberal International 2009-2014.
